free yourself - nike free

It is running season again...time to dust off my running shoes!  Studies suggest that barefoot runners develop stronger feet. Natural motion builds strength, and strength means speed. NikeFree is all about speed.  Deep cuts in the outsole mean your feet flex and move the way they would if you were barefoot.  Designed to maximize the foot's natural range of motion while providing protection and cushioning for a smooth ride. These are my very favorite running shoes!  They are so lightweight, comfortable and flexible.  The Nike Free Run+ 2 are cute, fun, affordable and FAST!  What's not to like?

Here is why you will love them...

Benefits
-Inner sleeve for a snug fit and enhanced breathability
-Bonded synthetic overlays for super-strong, flexible support
-Fused Phylite midsole and outsole for an ultra-lightweight, resilient ride
-Deep flex grooves along the outsole for natural range of motion and flexibility
-Weight: 7.2 ounces (feather light) :)

Fit
Designed to keep the foot in place without restricting movement, Nike Free features bonded overlays for excellent support. Lightweight and flexible, these thin strips are attached to the mesh upper for a streamlined fit. The inner sleeve provides a snug feel, yet it's dynamic enough to move with the natural motion of the foot.

Flexibility
Deep flex grooves along the outsole allow the foot to move naturally in multiple directions. The heel features a “center of pressure” design for extra cushioning on contact, maximizing overall flexibility.

Cushioning
Without sacrificing the feel of barefoot running, the Nike Free delivers a plush, cushioned ride. Phylite material seamlessly fuses the midsole with the outsole, creating a one-piece design that's as resilient as it is durable. The molded sockliner mimics the curves of the foot for a comfortable, supportive fit.

AND, you can use a Nike+ ($19) sensor with these kicks (a must have for me)!  With Nike+, you can track your time, distance, pace and calories burned.  Simply place the sensor under the sockliner of your left Nike+ ready shoe and start running to sync it with your Nike+ tracking device (iPhone, watch, iPod, etc). The sensor measures your pace, distance, time elapsed and calories burned, and wirelessly transmits it to your device for real-time feedback while you train.

Ready, set, go!
