iced coffee (cubes)

The trouble with iced coffee is....the ice melts when combined with hot coffee and your are stuck with a watery drink.  And, no one likes watered down coffee.  While at a local coffee shop last week I had an "ah-ha" moment...coffee ice cubes!  Brilliant!  Why didn't I think of this?  (who knows!)  I am just glad someone thought of it, and I now know the secret!  Although, I couldn't possibly keep this a secret, and I had to make them for myself (and all of you) immediately.  My barista (hubby) whipped up some french press coffee for my ice cubes.

Say good-bye to watery iced coffee...and hello to ice cold caffeine!

     perfect summer coffee!

I've done this and have used the tray for regular ice cubes later. The coffee smell and taste linger so keep a dedicated tray just for the coffee cubes... unless you like coffee scented regular water cubes!

Your coffee looks so rich and dark!! What brand do you use?? I tried this with Starbucks house blend coffee beans and my coffee cubes separated. Any advice?
